This week we learned about the importance and implications of shared leadership. shared leadership divides the power of a government among officials and that country's citizens. doing so allows each part of the government to monitor and criticize the actions of another part. it basically prevents any one branch or individual in the government from becoming too powerful.
without shared leadership the government would start acting like a single entity and not like the multiple entities our government is made of. Power would eventually collect on to one branch or individual. then the individual would use this power to reflect his or her thoughts, not the thoughts of many controlling what happens but the thoughts of one.
